Filmmaker Taylor Barrett wandered the streets of L.A. asking strangers to look at a lineup of women and identify which one was a lesbian just by listening to the sound of their voice. The strangers mostly said they didn't think they could, but one very bold man just said, "Sure," and a woman said, "Yes," both with an insane amount of confidence.
After a few of these people decided they definitely could do it, Barrett had each of the women in the lineup say a few things such as, "My favorite store is Home Depot," "I never leave the house without Chapstick," and, "There is cat hair on my vibrator," and then asked the people again to tell them which one of them was gay.

Guesses were made based on one of the women "making eye contact" with a woman, a woman having "anger" in her voice, and one woman sounding "boldly" or "assertive" or seeming like she liked to "take control."
As it turns out, all the women in the video were lesbians and when they told people that, everyone was pretty stunned, except for one guy who said, "Great!" and shook all of their hands politely.
Proof again that "sounding gay" is not a thing and lesbian stereotypes are sadly alive and well.
